A double major who graduated summa cum laude in college, Matthew has a deep passion for educating clients so they can make informed decisions that help give them the confidence to pursue their retirement dreams.
Matthew is a math lover who enjoys people and solving issues. He has been helping his clients craft retirement strategies for more than two decades — ever since he and his father performed a detailed evaluation of his strengths, goals and future — and now is a dedicated professional who can offer investment advisory services and recommend insurance products.
As owner and managing member of FYRA Capital Management, Matthew is responsible for helping with the firm’s daily operations. That includes meeting with clients, reviewing portfolios, researching investments, evaluating risk, explaining the benefits of strategies and conversions, and offering advice on everything from cash flow and retirement strategies to legacy plans.
Matthew teaches about Medicare, long-term care, veterans’ benefits, retirement planning and more to help people have a full understanding of issues, plans and recommendations. “I want clients to be aware and understand what we are doing for them before they make a decision,” he says. “I want them to make the decisions after understanding the pros and cons of the suggestions.”
Matthew graduated summa cum laude from Rockhurst University, where he was a double major in economics and marketing and also earned a minor in Spanish. He lived in Seville, Spain, for nine months while he was in college and speaks fluent Spanish.
A St. Louis resident, Matthew is the head of an investment committee for a local high school and also serves on the finance committee for a high school.
Matthew met his wonderful wife, Kacey, on a mission trip to Nicaragua. They are blessed with six children. “They are everything to me,” Matthew says.
